Tailgate Fest Lineup Announced: California’s Biggest Tailgate Party Gets Even Better in Year 3!

Tailgate Fest has already made its national footprint as the host location of CMT’s ‘Hot 20 Countdown’. This will be their third year broadcasting live from the festival.

Tuesday, February 18, 2020 (Los Angeles, CA) – Southern California’s most epic party returns for its third year, and now at the most on-brand venue yet: the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA.  Tailgate Fest has gained cult status and been dubbed “SoCal’s Newest FOMO Festival” from being the only fest in the world where the tailgating doesn’t stop when the show starts.  And now neither does the pool party.  For an extra special and unique experience, check out the ‘Boots and Bikinis’ mega pool party that puts you close enough to the stage that you could splash the artists.

Moving to Fontana’s Auto Club Speedway (45 minutes outside Los Angeles), is a move that responds to the explosive growth and space needed for this first of its kind type of festival experience.  Festival goers will have even more land to set up that perfect base camp than last year. Tailgate Fest is pleased to reveal their third year line up, which include certified platinum artist Dierks Bentley and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Lynyrd Skynyrd who are headlining, with Billy Currington, Justin Moore, Carly Pearce, A Thousand Horses, Logan Mize, Ross Ellis, and R&B icons, TLC, making up the list. Attendees will enjoy two days of nonstop entertainment between August 15-16.  They may enjoy from the comfort of their own truck-side havens, side-stage at the ‘Boots and Bikinis’ mega pool party, which is back and taking on a life of it’s own as the fan favorite of the 2019 festival, or even stage front like typical concert experiences. This is the festival made by the fans for the fans and caters to the experience the fan wants to curate.  Tailgate Fest has even added “Pre-Packed Tailgate Packages” for this years event to answer the call for those who want to tailgate, but don’t want to shop and prep.  Centered around the unanimous sentiment that tailgaters don’t want to pack up the party, Tailgate Fest brings the stages truck-side and aims to bridge the gap between celebration and comfort. But Tailgate Fest doesn’t want you to stress if you don’t have a tailgating setup!  There are also traditional concert tickets for sale as well.

“One of the best parts of Tailgate, and also most unique, is that it compels people to engage in a visceral social interaction which has become harder and harder to find.  Even our artists walk around and grab beers and pop in to see the action, which is pretty unheard of at most festivals.  It’s becoming such a community of camaraderie based around the love of music, tailgating and camping culture, summer, love and fun,” said Tailgate Fest creator Melissa Carbone.

Passes are available now on the Tailgate Fest website (latailgatefest.com). General admission two-day passes are currently $99 while VIP passes for the weekend are $329 and include amenities like viewing decks, premium bathrooms, private lounges, early entry, and entry to ‘Boots and Bikinis’. The Super VIP Pass is also available for $599 and includes all VIP amenities in addition to elevated access to the stage-side swimming pool and special platform, exclusive private performances and parties, bottle service, and more. RV camping upgrades are available for purchase as well.  For the ultimate tailgating experience, you can reserve your very own fully-stocked, private Airstream!  The ‘Hicksville USA Trailer Park’ package also includes Ten Ultimate VIP passes, catered BBQ lunches, snacks and beer, the ‘Boots & Bikinis’ mega pool party VIP treatment, meet & greet with the artists of your choice, backstage and on-stage viewing, and much more for only $9,999. There are a limited number available of this once in a concert lifetime package, so act now!

Yeah, this summer is going to rock.

DARIUS RUCKER’S “WAGON WHEEL” CERTIFIED 8X PLATINUM

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Capitol Records Nashville’s Darius Rucker was surprised with a plaque celebrating the RIAA’s recent 8x-Platinum certification of his hit song “Wagon Wheel” during a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum yesterday, February 12. Since topping the charts for back-to-back weeks in 2013, “Wagon Wheel” has now become one of the top five best-selling Country songs of all time and Rucker is now the only solo male country act to achieve the honor of an 8x-plus multi-Platinum song in RIAA’s history.

Lured under the pretense of seeing his exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, Rucker was surprised when he rounded the corner to see his record label of 14+ years, UMG Nashville, holding a plaque. “What are y’all doing here?!” Rucker remarked, taking in the presence of label heads and esteemed industry guests from the RIAA gathered around his exhibit, which features the suit he wore in the “Wagon Wheel” music video alongside other memorabilia from his remarkable career. After hearing the news – and pausing to really read the plaque’s inscription – an in-awe Rucker added, “I don’t believe you. I don’t believe this! Wow, what a testament to the fans and their love of Country music.”

“Wagon Wheel,” originally released by Old Crow Medicine Show in 2004, was written by the band’s lead singer, Ketch Secor, and was based on a sketch by Bob Dylan, who is credited as a co-writer. The single was featured on Rucker’s Gold-certified, No.1 album True Believers and has since accumulated over 960 million global streams. “Wagon Wheel” also won a GRAMMY for Best Country Solo Performance at the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards, the third of Rucker’s career.

“Even in my wildest dreams for ‘Wagon Wheel,’ the singer was never me or Bob,” remarked Secor upon learning of the song’s new accolade. “It could have been a lot of different people who had the big hit with it. It could have been one of those perfect-smile guys with the made-for-TV personalities. That it was instead a salt of the earth singer like Darius is something divine I’ll leave to the theologians to figure out.”

Mike Dungan, UMGN Chairman & CEO, recalls the conversation he had with Rucker when he first decided to record the song: “Darius called my cell phone one night and told me that he was in the audience for the talent show at his daughter’s high school. He said, ‘Hey man, do you know that song ‘Wagon Wheel?’ I just watched a band full of kids perform it, and it reminded me of how great that song is, and I want to cut it.’ I said, ‘you’re crazy,’ to which he said, ‘well I’m cuttin’ it! I’ll talk to you later!’ We (the label) thought that this was going to either be huge… or a disaster. He was right, everybody’s happy, life is good!”

“On behalf of RIAA, we’re so pleased to mark such an amazing accomplishment,” said Jackie Jones, Vice President of Industry Relations at the Recording Industry Association of America. “A certification of this magnitude is incredibly rare—occurring only a few times in our organization’s history. Darius, his team and the entire UMG Nashville family should be very proud of this historic moment in music.”

The Associated Press broke the news, capturing the plaque presentation surprise which can be viewed HERE.

I don’t know what God has in store for the future, but I am excited to see what He has planned!”

There is no sadness here, just new chapters, new journeys, and new beginnings. Rascal Flatts’ music will live on forever, because of our fans, and this year is all about them!”
“Dreams do come true…and we are three walking examples of this truth,” said Joe Don Rooney. “I’m most proud of the fact that we’ve pursued our dreams together and with courage, hard-work and dedication we’ve been able to cultivate our dreams into reality; it’s simply incredible! There’s no doubt we have been blessed way beyond belief and we can’t wait to spend the rest of 2020 expressing our love and appreciation to all of our devoted fans, music industry friends and our families for believing in us and playing a major role in our path to here. And, I personally can’t wait to shine a light on my brothers Jay and Gary this year, and make another mountain of new memories with them.”

They’ve risen from a humble Nashville honky tonk to the biggest stages in the world, and are now venue-packing, role-model members of the Grand Ole Opry (2011) and Hollywood Walk Of Fame (2012), who have showcased their commitment to music, faith and family for fans across the globe. In 2006, the trio were the top-selling artist in the world for all genres of music. The group also became household names appearing in blockbuster movies, hit TV shows and major soundtracks throughout the past 20 years. It all adds up to what Rolling Stone has labeled “an indisputably influential career,” and 2020 will mark a well deserved victory lap.

Old Dominion Puts on Phenomenal Performance at Fantasy Springs

On Friday, December 6, Old Dominion performed at the Fantasy Springs Events Center to a sold out crowd… and they put on one of the best live performances, we have ever seen!

Old Dominion was on the home stretch of their “Make It Sweet” tour and had just finished two nights in Las Vegas.  The band had every reason to mail in a performance; tail end of their tour, smaller venue, day after Vegas… but instead, they demonstrated why they are the ACM Vocal Group of the Year.

The band came out with a style and energy, that was contagious.  They had the crowd on their feet and singing along to their hits, most of the night.  The only time everyone sat down was when Matthew, Trevor and Brad, did a brief history of some of the songs they had written for other artists.  Because of that night’s layout at the Fantasy Springs Events Center, the “oohs” and “awes” could be heard from the crowd as the band performed some songs made famous by Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt and Michael Ray.  It was easlily the highlight of the evening.

The band finished the night performing songs from their latest, self-titled album, which included “One Man Band“, a song that the next day would be announced as their latest #1.

The band will continue continue to tour into 2020 with the “We Are Old Dominion Tour” which will take them into Canada, then they’ll join up with their friend Kenny Chesneyon the “Chillaxification” tour.  The next time Old Dominion will be in Southern California will be on August 1st at SoFi Stadium.  Be sure you get your tickets when they come to your town… you will not  be dissapointed.

ASHLEY McBRYDE DEBUTS HER “ONE NIGHT STANDARDS” MUSIC VIDEO

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Ashley McBryde debuted her new music video for current single “One Night Standards,” the first of a three-part storyline that will be released over the upcoming weeks. The video made its debut on YouTube this week, along with two digital billboard counterparts in Times Square in New York City and in Los Angeles at The Staples Center.

“My manager John Peets and I had this idea to listen to the record and see what stories appeared…what threads of ideas were consistent in the songs we had gathered and what characters stood out,” McBryde shares. “Low and behold, one night on the bus Chris Harris (acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonies) and I were having a few beverages after a show. I got out my sketch pad and we wrote down each song from the record and each character. It looked like a crazy road map. It looked like a child had drawn it.

“But there it was,” McBryde continues. “A way to connect every song and every video. I showed it to Peets, and we put it in (director) Reid Long’s hands. And the rest is history.”

Directed by Long and shot in Nashville at the Drake Hotel, “One Night Standards” is the first of three videos in the series as she prepares her highly-anticipated sophomore album for Warner Music Nashville.

“One Night Standards” has already made its way into NPR’s Best Songs of 2019, stating, “Gender equity isn’t merely about celebrating strengths; it’s also about allowing for the human frailties that don’t discriminate by sex. So let’s raise a glass to the low women, like the no-strings-attached narrator in McBryde’s lone 2019 song ‘One Night Standards,’” and described in Rolling Stone’s 25 Best Country and Americana Songs of 2019 as “vividly honest,” and “in stark contrast to so many of the fantastical puppy-love songs that get played on the radio or further the genre’s squeaky-clean image.”

Upon its release, The New York Times praised, “McBryde sings and writes with a high degree of emotional acuity, and this song … is cleareyed, unsentimental and a cold jolt of tragical realism.”

The CMA New Artist of the Year, ACM New Female Artist of the Year and CMT Breakout Artist of the Year was also nominated for two GRAMMY awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for her breakout hit “Girl Goin’ Nowhere” (the title track from the album that previously received a nomination at the 2019 GRAMMY awards for Best Country Album).

McBryde will embark on her second headlining tour, 2020’s One Night Standards Tour, on Jan. 30 in Birmingham, Ala. with over a dozen dates until April 23 in Helotes, Texas. For more information and tour dates, visit ashleymcbryde.com.

About Ashley McBryde
“One Night Standards,” produced by Jay Joyce, is the first taste of what’s to come from Ashley McBryde’s highly anticipated sophomore album for Warner Music Nashville. Since its release this fall the lead single has garnered over two million streams. Lauded by The New York Times as “an alluringly flexible singer, fluent in classic country, blues and Southern rock, with a voice that moves easily from tender to tough,” McBryde caught the attention of some of Nashville’s most raucous entertainers, landing her dates opening for Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Little Big Town and George Strait. Earlier this year, the Arkansas native earned an ACM award for New Female Artist of the Year in addition to CMT’s Breakout Artist of the Year, as well as GRAMMY and Emmy nominations for performances around Girl Going Nowhere, and most recently received her first-ever CMA award for New Artist of the Year and two GRAMMY nominations for the seminal title track, “Girl Goin’ Nowhere.” For tour dates and more information, visit AshleyMcBryde.com or follow her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/AshleyMcBryde, Instagram @ashleymcbryde and Twitter at @AshleyMcBryde.

Thomas Rhett Wraps 2019 with 14th Career #1

Nashville, TN – December 17, 2019 – Reigning ACM Awards Male Artist of the Year Thomas Rhett has earned his 14th career No. One hit as his “emotional epic” (Billboard) track “Remember You Young” summits both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Airplay charts this week. The “sweet homage to Thomas Rhett’s friends and family” (American Profile) serves as the second chart-topper from his GRAMMY-nominated fourth studio album CENTER POINT ROAD (The Valory Music Co.) and was co-written by Thomas Rhett with Jesse Frasure and Ashley Gorley.

In celebration of the song’s ascent to the top of the charts, Thomas Rhett shares an in-depth behind-the-scenes look into the making of the “Remember You Young” music video. Watch here.

“Wow… I truly can’t think of a better way to end this crazy year,” Thomas Rhett said. “Thank you so much to the fans for embracing such a special song to me that has easily been an all-time favorite I’ve ever gotten a chance to write. It’s all about looking back on all the people in your life that you love and always seeing them in their youth or in their prime, and its been really cool to see people relate to that sentiment.”

Additionally, the 14x chart-topper reveals the “celebratory” (Rolling Stone) song “Beer Can’t Fix” ft. Jon Pardi as his upcoming single, available at country radio January 6. Co-written by Thomas Rhett with collaborators Julian Bunetta, Zach Skelton and Ryan Tedder, the track was an instant stand-out during Thomas Rhett’s 2019 VERY HOT SUMMER TOUR where “deafening screams echoed” (Charlotte Observer) throughout capacity amphitheaters and arenas. Riding the momentum of “a championship season” (St. Louis Post Dispatch), Thomas Rhett shared news last week of his headlining THE CENTER POINT ROAD TOUR with special guests Cole Swindell and HARDY, kicking off on May 29, 2020.

This year marked the release of Thomas Rhett’s GRAMMY-nominated fourth studio album CENTER POINT ROAD. Ashley McBryde Announces 2020 Tour

CMA’S NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR ASHLEY McBRYDE ANNOUNCES ONE NIGHT STANDARDS TOUR 2020

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In 2017 The Washington Post noted Ashley McBryde’s “blue-collar storytelling and straightforward singing set her apart” and NPR’s World Cafe opined, “after a decade of being the best unknown performer in those dive bars, it’s all paying off.” Fast-forward to March 2018, The New York Times dubbed Girl Going Nowhere a “vivid and accomplished major-label debut,” later including it on the year’s ‘best of,’ and in April the Los Angeles Times raved McBryde “is making country music without a safety net.” Her album sparked appearances on CBS’ coveted Saturday morning stage (later garnering an Emmy nomination for the performance),The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Seth Meyers and more. It was a whirlwind two years for the Arkansas native.

“After nearly a decade playing, driving to any gig I could, I don’t know how to describe it exactly, it just feltdifferent – like things were about to change,” reflects McBryde. “On the road, in writes around town … I didn’t know it could get any better than that. Well, I was wrong!”

In 2019 McBryde earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album and was named ACM New Female Artist of the Year, CMT’s Breakthrough Video of the Year winner and CMT Artists of the Year’s Breakout Artist of the Year, culminating with last week’s major win as the Country Music Association’s New Artist of the Year.

“I once had the pleasure of playing a tribute show for Mr. John Prine and the next day he shook my hand and he said, ‘you’re real good, you’re no Reba, but you’re real good.’” recalled McBryde as she accepted honor of CMA New Artist of the Year. “I cherish those little moments that are like that, that are truth and guidance from voices that we respect and admire. And I’m thankful for that and for this. And for the opportunity to step up. Thank you.”
