Miranda Lambert Releases Cookbook, “Y’all Eat Yet?”

As reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Miranda Lambert prepares for the April 25 release of her first book, “Y’all Eat Yet? Welcome to the Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen,” written together with Holly Gleason, she announces a trio of book signing events to bring the recipes she was raised on and stories of intergenerational female friendship to fans nationwide.

Kicking off in New York City on release day, Lambert will visit the 5th Avenue Barnes & Noble store April 25 at 12 p.m. ET before appearing at The Grove Barnes & Noble store in Los Angeles on April 28 at 11 a.m. PT. She will also return to her hometown of Lindale, Texas – where many of the book’s stories were born – for a signing at her own Pink Pistol store on May 9 at 12 p.m. CT ahead of the ACM Awards in nearby Dallas later that week. Limited tickets priced at $38.11 plus an Eventbrite fee of $4 (which include one book each) will be available via YallEatYetBook.com at 11 a.m. local time today, March 21.

With “Y’all Eat Yet?” (Dey Street Books), the most awarded artist in ACM history takes readers deeper into her life off stage, on her farm and on the road, as well as sharing her beloved Airstream trailers, her signature fashion sense and decorating style. Lambert grew up surrounded by her mother and grandmother, and also by her mother’s tight-knit pack of girlfriends. With them, she learned the power of female friendship and the bonds that women share – and the way good food and drink is the perfect reason for any gathering of your girlfriends.

“Watching my mom and her friends, I saw the way pitching in, working together, loving music and being there for each other is the greatest gift you can have in life. I think my mom inherited that gift from her mom, because they both attracted the most awesome group of girlfriends,” says Lambert.

These colorful women knew how to have too much fun, come through in a jam, celebrate, cry when necessary and really, really cook – and it’s to these women that Lambert credits her own inviting, come-on-in personality. Each and every recipe in “Y’all Eat Yet?” has been handed down from her mom, grandma and those cherished friends, including Nonny’s Banana Pudding, The Loaf (aka “the meal that will get the ring”), Dutch Oven (Coffee Can) Campfire Cobbler, Stacked Enchilada Bake, Jalapeño Pimento Cheese, Roasted Root Vegetable Winter Salad, Whiskey Cupcakes and more.

For everything from porch parties to road trips, the holidays and celebratory gatherings, “Y’all Eat Yet?” is true to Lambert’s roots growing up in Texas. It showcases easy to prepare, hearty and delicious meals meant to be shared with those you love. Full of the moments most people never get to see in the life of one of country music’s most important female superstars – along with gorgeous fare and 50 recipes – “Y’all Eat Yet?” was created to fill your belly and feed your soul.

Lindsay Ell Wows Coachella Valley crowd, again

In typical Lindsay Ell fashion, the singer/songwriter/guitarist had the crowd on their feet, from start to finish! On a dark, rainy, gloomy night, the Canadian born artist was a ray of sunshine with her lyrics and guitar solos.

The concert, which was scheduled to take place outside prior to rain, was moved inside of Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City. This along with a BBQ menu and line dance competition made for an action packed evening in the desert. But Lindsay Ell is no stranger to the Coachella Valley. Like her native Canadians that make their yearly trips to the Valley, Lindsay has performed at Stagecoach several times, most recently in 2022, and she never disappoints.

Along with performing her hits, “Right On Time”, “Criminal” and “What Happens in a Small Town”, Lindsay also announced that she would be heading on tour with Shania Twain. Lindsay stated that it was a dream of hers to perform with Shania, since she was a kid. These two phenomenal artists on tour together, this promises to be a “Must-See” concert.

Stagecoach 2023 Lineup Announced

Last week GoldenVoice released the line up for Stagecoach 2023 and we believe it’s one of the best lineups that we’ve seen! Stagecoach always has amazing headliners and up and coming talent performing at the Palomino stage or Sirius XM stage, but what makes this year’s lineup so good, is the range of the performing artists. Headliners Luke Bryan, Kane Brown and Chris Stapleton represent three subcategories within country music, which as far as we’ve heard, has been pleasing to our readers/followers.

Luke Bryan has always been a Stagecoach favorite with his poppy, catchy, feel-good songs. You can’t go wrong with having Luke Bryan perform at Stagecoach. Kane Brown has an amazing voice and is popular with younger fans, especially the ladies. Chris Stapleton has so many phenomenal songs, that we don’t know how they’ll be able to fit them all into a two hour set. These three artists are well deserving of headline status, because of their singing & song-writing abilities, but more importantly, they have a very loyal fanbase, and their songs will definitely get people dancing, at the end of the night.

Other artists that we’re excited to see:

Old Dominion– They’ve been named Group of the Year for good reason. Everyone loves Old Dominion

Kameron Marlowe– This talented young artist has established himself as a force to be reckoned with with hits, “Giving You Up” and “Tequila Talkin'”. Be sure to catch his set!

Morgan Wade– This talented female, has the voice and lyrics that paint a picturesque scene, for every song she sings. She performs at Stagecoach on Saturday. DO. NOT. MISS. HER!

Lindsay Ell Crushes Day 3, at Stagecoach

As the sun began to set on Stagecoach 2022, a familiar voice rang out from the Mane Stage. Lindsay Ell took the stage, on day three, and put on a high energy performance, filled with guest appearances and her latest chart topping hits, which got the 75,000 fans on their feet and singing along, prior to headliner Luke Combs, taking the stage.

Dressed in neon green, Lindsay began her set with an infectious amount of energy that spilled over to the crowd, who quickly began singing along to “Criminal” and didn’t stop until her final song, “What Happens In A Small Town“.

During her performance, the crowd of 75,000, was treated to Lindsay’s latest release, “Right on Time“. a song that Lindsay told me, was “near and dear to her heart, because of the constant pressure that is placed on women, by society, to fall in love, get married and have kids; all by a certain age.” She stated, “women are beautiful and should be empowered to live their life on their own timeline; write their own stories.” Before performing “Right on Time” at Stagecoach, Lindsay dedicated the song to women everywhere, as a reminder that they “can’t be late to their own party.” The statement was greeted cheers as the women, and some men in the crowd, recognized the realness of her statement.

Shortly after that song, Lindsay and her band, had a little fun with the crowd, by squirting them with water guns, then quickly returned to the stage to introduce special guests, Cheat Codes, for their next song, “How Do You Love“. The trio and Lindsay, proceeded to perform their smash hit, while the crowd danced, sang and throughly enjoyed the moment. The end of Lindsay’s set was capped, with her most popular song to date, “What Happens in a Small Town“, a song featuring Brantley Gilbert.

Although Lindsay’s performances are entertaining, because of her incredible guitar skills, crowd interaction, and high energy throughout the set, this one felt very different. Good different. This was, easily, one of my favorite performances of Stagecoach weekend. Lindsay’s energy provided an atmosphere that we hadn’t experienced since the beginning of the pandemic. Lindsay was captivating throughout and reminded us, of just how much fun live music can be, and how much we’ve missed it!

Thank you, Lindsay!

If you’d like to experience Lindsay Ell’s phenomenal performance for yourself, be sure to follow her on all social media platforms, and catch her opening for Shania Twain this summer.

Now having spent years honing their skills, Walker County is ready to carry on the heritage of country music with their modern-traditional blend. Walker County performs on the SiriusXM stage at 2:20pm on Friday

Mickey Guyton Slays National Anthem

On February 13, the Los Angeles Rams took on the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56, but the one of the highlights of the evening took place, even before the game started. Mickey Guyton, the Texas-born singer-songwriter, was set to perform the National Anthem, prior to the game and in my opinion, it was a phenomenal performance!

Guyton’s rendition of the National Anthem has quickly drawn comparisons to Whitney Houston’s Super Bowl 25 performance, a rendition that may fans say is the best National Anthem, ever. Mickey Guyton is joined during the performance by a 10 person choir, which accentuates Guyton’s vocals and caused many of the people I was sitting next to to simply exclaim, “WOW”.

Mickey Guyton may have previously been best known for her ACM solo performance of “What Are You Going To Tell Her”, but the acclaim she is receiving from performing the National Anthem, may soon surpass that.

One of the biggest compliments I, personally, heard on Super Bowl sunday, came from a military veteran, stated, “That is one of the best National Anthems, I’ve ever heard.” I would have to wholeheartedly agree.

Tailgate Fest Is Bigger & Better in Year 3!

In barely its third year, TailgateFest has already established itself as a premier festival for country music fans, throughout Southern California.  The festival which has, rightfully, been dubbed the #BestWeekendEver has successfully combined; great music lineups, mouth watering food, and the best part of a country festival… Tailgating.

During TailgateFest, attendees have options while watching the concert.  They can stand near the stage, just like any other festival, or they can keep partying from the bed of their trucks and enjoy the concert without ever having to leave the comfort of their vehicle.

Most of the TailgateFest attendees, that we have spoken with, mentioned that they enjoy being able to watch the concert from their vehicles, but almost to a person, each one has said that the best part of tailgating at TailgateFest, is the new friends they’ve made.  “This festival has a different feel to it” said Michelle, from Corona. “I became friends with the people we were parked next to during the first TailgateFest.  Now, we go out line dancing, to birthday parties and are really good friends.”

Since its inception in 2018, Alyson Richards and Melissa Carbone, the owners of TailgateFest, have had a vision of combining all of the great things that fans enjoy from music festivals.  These phenomenal women are recreating what music fans have come to expect from a festival.   The friends came up with the concept for TailgateFest, when they attended a music festival and had to stop enjoying themselves in the tailgating area, to go watch the concert.    “This is the Burning Man for the other 98%” said Alyson Richards. “Aside from a great lineup and amazing food.  We want country fans to enjoy interacting with each other and continue having a good time from their tailgating spot, when the artists take the stage.”

Alyson and Melissa’s approach has made TailgateFest, one the most fan-friendly festivals we’ve ever attended.  Last year, country artists were seen walking around the tailgating campgrounds interacting with fans and giving away Wyld Gear coolers.  Fans can also enjoy TailgateFest poolside with the Boots & Bikinis option.  This option allows fans to watch the concert from a pool, located steps away from the stage.  There are also RV Campsite options where up to 10 people can enjoy the comforts of an RV in between sets.

But wait there’s more…

This year TailgateFest will have another star studded lineup, which will include Dierks Bentley, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Justin Moore and TLC.  The festival will also have a new home, at Auto Club Speedway, in Fontana.  The new location will allow TailgateFest to offer a few more ticket options, which will give fans plenty of opotrunities to enjoy themselves, without breaking the bank.  Our personal favorite addition to TailgateFest tickets, is the pre-packed tailgating option.  This add-on allows you to select food, drinks, equipment and almost anything you’ll need for the weekend, without having to pack it into your vehicle.  You just show up to TailgateFest, pick up your order and set up your camping spot.  This is especially a great option for anyone with a smaller vehicle or a larger group.  It also takes the worry out of packing for the festival, because everything has already been done for you.

As of this article, TailgateFest will take place as scheduled, with health and security precautions, in place, to ensure the safety of all attendees.  But with all of the uncertainty that 2020 has brought us, so far, one thing we’re certain of, is that TailgateFest 2020 will DEFINITLY be an amazing experience.  Alyson, Melissa and all of the women & men at TailgateFest, are working hard to ensure the best experience is had by everyone in attendance and they hope you’ll join them to experience the #BestWeekendEver, for yourself.

Ashley McBryde Announces 2020 Tour

CMA’S NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR ASHLEY McBRYDE ANNOUNCES ONE NIGHT STANDARDS TOUR 2020

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In 2017 The Washington Post noted Ashley McBryde’s “blue-collar storytelling and straightforward singing set her apart” and NPR’s World Cafe opined, “after a decade of being the best unknown performer in those dive bars, it’s all paying off.” Fast-forward to March 2018, The New York Times dubbed Girl Going Nowhere a “vivid and accomplished major-label debut,” later including it on the year’s ‘best of,’ and in April the Los Angeles Times raved McBryde “is making country music without a safety net.” Her album sparked appearances on CBS’ coveted Saturday morning stage (later garnering an Emmy nomination for the performance),The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Seth Meyers and more. It was a whirlwind two years for the Arkansas native.

“After nearly a decade playing, driving to any gig I could, I don’t know how to describe it exactly, it just feltdifferent – like things were about to change,” reflects McBryde. “On the road, in writes around town … I didn’t know it could get any better than that. Well, I was wrong!”

In 2019 McBryde earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album and was named ACM New Female Artist of the Year, CMT’s Breakthrough Video of the Year winner and CMT Artists of the Year’s Breakout Artist of the Year, culminating with last week’s major win as the Country Music Association’s New Artist of the Year.

“I once had the pleasure of playing a tribute show for Mr. John Prine and the next day he shook my hand and he said, ‘you’re real good, you’re no Reba, but you’re real good.’” recalled McBryde as she accepted honor of CMA New Artist of the Year. “I cherish those little moments that are like that, that are truth and guidance from voices that we respect and admire. And I’m thankful for that and for this. And for the opportunity to step up. Thank you.”

City Girls/Country Music Tour is Another Step Forward for Woman Artists

City Girls/Country Music (CGCM) is a community of women who create country, americana, and folk music in cities around the world and on August 17, they will kick off their North American tour with a stop at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles.  The tour will include stops in Boston and New York.

CGCM was founded by the talented singer, songwriter and pianest Cindy Jollotta.  Cindy experienced first hand the struggles of being a woman in the music industry and courageously decided to do something abou it.  After noticing festival after festival, where female artists were sparse or not present at all, she started CGCM to create a more opportunities specifically for women to play, but also more opportunities for country fans living in big cities to discover new stars and to see their favorite genre of music performed live – close to home.

The show on August 17 will feature artists Leigh Madison, Courtney Cowart, Drew & Ket and the Queen herself, Cindy Jollotta.  This show will give audiences the opportunity to enjoy great music in an intimate setting and a will support female artists in a cause that has been a longtime coming.  We anticipate that this event will be the first of many and the first of many steps towards empowering woman artists.

Tickets to the event can be found on the City Girls/Country Music site and more information about City Girls/Country Music can be found on all forms of social media under the name @CityGirlsCountryMusic

Below are bios of the artists that will perform at the Los Angeles Show:

Leigh Madison grew up in Oklahoma and has been in LA for her whole adult life. She has lived in her car, lived like a queen, and lived every way in between. Leigh has played in bands up and down Sunset Blvd. and starred opposite Neil Patrick Harris in the Broadway show RENT, as well as singing on national and international commercials.
Leigh is a single mother in LA “which isn’t easy, folks” and has a passion for Country Music which stands for everything she valued and cherishes in her life: family, love, faith, tradition, friendships, community, speaking truth, being genuine, having fun and staying grounded by & connected to her roots.
Courtney Cowart is a singer-songwriter and Tennessee native. She was the lead singer of two NYC-based bands before her recent move to LA. She can be seen highlighting in an all-girls bluegrass band, ‘The Snowy Mountain Sisters’, and the Country Western band, ‘The Island City Outlaws’. She is a regular at LIC Bar, and has performed at The Duplex and Red Room. Courtney’s most recent theatrical role was in the Off-Broadway musical ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ (NYMF), and has featured in several Cabarets, including Bucket List Theatre at LA’s Three Doors and Theatre 40. She also makes appearances with 2Scoops, Sherry Duvall-Covington and Guilty Pleasures by Too Legit to Quit Productions in NYC. Her music incorporates elements of pop, folk, country and blues, and she is currently working on her first studio album. Courtney is thrilled to be performing with the amazing women of City Girls/ Country Music!
Drew and Ket are a pop country duo based out of Los Angeles, CA.  Fresh melodies, raw harmonies, and honest storytelling draw and captivate their audience.  The two connected over a passion for writing songs meant to inspire listeners to push the boundaries of the impossible and set off pursuing their own individual dreams.  A love story all their own, the lyrics and melodies they create bleed the adventure and struggles they have shared together.  Drew and Ket are thrilled to support women in country and so thankful to City Girls Country Music for the opportunity to be a part of this movement.
Cindy Jollotta is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles. She has performed all around the United States (Stagecoach Festival, House of Blues, Las Vegas Country Saloon, etc.) with her former band.  Now stepping our on her own, Cindy has performed around Europe and the US and is about to embark on a tour from California to Alaska.

Her sound combines her love of honky-tonk with her roots in the alternative rock world. It’s Dark Country meets Folk Pop. Dixie Chicks meets Amy Lee. She aims to deliver raw emotion with a touch of whimsy in a style that combines dramatic arrangements and playful touches.
