The country music community has always known that Kacey Musgraves was intelligent, witty and a creator of phenomenal music. Well it looks like now the rest of the world has taken notice. Kacey Musgraves will be performing Day 1 at Coachella Music and Art Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the world. Kacey is no stranger to the Coachella Valley, having performed here during Stagecoach in 2015 and 2018. But while Stagecoach is one of the biggest country music festivals in the United States, Coachella is one of the largest festivals IN THE WORLD!
While the location for Stagecoach and Coachella are the same, the similarities end there. Coachella has eight stages and uses all 650 acres to ensure that all of the attendees have plenty of room to listen to their favorite artists and walk around to discover new ones. While Stagecoach is one weekend long and strictly a country music festival, Coachella takes place during two weekends and has artists from all genres of music. It’s not uncommon to have a hip-hop artist perform on one stage, while an alt-rock band performs on the other side of the venue, while an indie group and techno DJ perform on their stage, all at the same time.
Coachella will be a great opportunity for festival attendees, that have never heard of Kacey, to discover her unique brand of music for themselves. Coachella is a festival that is known for its diversity in music and diversity in attendees, which will be a perfect opportunity for Kacey to reach a very broad range of music lovers.
We have no doubt that with songs like “Follow Your Arrow,” “High Horse,” “High Time,” “Butterflies” and “Merry Go ‘Round”, there will be thousands of new KM Team members by the end of Coachella, which is fine with us, because there is plenty of room on this Merry Go ‘Round.
